1st Grade Muiscal - E-I-E-I-Oops! - a Huge Success!

Parents were treated to an unforgettable experience as the 1st grade students presented their musical: E-I-E-I-Oops! on Thursday night under the direction of music teacher, Kelly Jones. We would like to thank all the parents who worked so hard to decorate the backdrop. It looked great! The first grade teachers also looked great and helped the students get on and off stage. We also want to thank Mrs. Jones and Dr. Tina Baxter for the hard work it took to prepare the musical! Below are pictures from the night.

Teachers Collaborate to Vertically Align the Math Curriculum

Teachers at FES have been working collaboratively after-hours to align the math standards vertically from Pre-K to 3rd grade. With the new standards, it is more important than ever to make sure all grades are working together to insure every student is receiving the best instruction possible. One way of doing this is to better understand the expectations in each grade. This is an ongoing process and the teachers have been working diligently to give your child the best instructional practices possible. Thank-you teachers!

FES Academic Pep Rally

We had a great time at our first academic pep rally of the year! We celebrated with our students, parents, and teachers. Students were recognized for their accomplishments in penmanship, "amazing" behavior, perfect attendance, and A/AB honor roll. We want to thank the high school football team, band, and cheerleaders for their participation again this year. Your partnership with our students always makes it such a special event as you reminded the students of the importance of coming to school, listening to their teachers, and doing their best to achieve their full potential. Below are pictures from the event.
